Last day of the Tour of Kiwi. Went to Akaroa in the morning and join a tour at the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve in the afternoon. A Kea has an average intelligent of a 4-year old kid. There were several Kea in the Reserve. All of them were injured in someway. Kea is an endangered bird with only about 4,000 alive today; and we got to see one in the wild at Milford Sound. The Reserve is part of the program to hatch and release wild Kiwis. As part of the tour, we get to go into Nocturnal House to observe Kiwis in real life.
