Travel to Germany again. Finally, after passing through it so many times, I got to step out of the airport to see Frankfurt.
I heard someone said that Frankfurt Main is over 40 minutes away from the airport. In fact it is only two stops away on S-Bahn. It’s closer than Vienna to its airport. Next time I will definitely spend a few hours in Frankfurt.
After a couple of days in Eschborn, I took the ICE train to Berlin for a three day meeting.
It’s about €200 for the round trip ticket. The train is very comfortable. I sat in the class 1 seat on my way to Berlin and in a class 2 compartment on my way back. The only difference between the two classes is that the class 2 seat has no footrest. The seat is identical in all other ways. Also, class 2 has no reservation, they are first come first serve. Since I took the 5 AM departure from Berlin, I got to have the entire compartment all for myself.
